Job summary
The Children's Health Team are looking for 2 committed Family Health Workers to work within the Health Visiting Team with children aged up to 6. The positions available are based in Boston/Spalding (37hrs) and Lincoln (30hrs).
We also havean exciting opportunity for 4 Family Health Workers to be part of an antenatal health education team delivering face to face antenatal education to 'parents to be' in Lincolnshire. There is training available to deliver the universal antenatal Solihull programme and Mellow Bumps. The antenatal roles are full time 37hours and Countywide.

The Team offer developmental health reviews to the universal case load and delivers individual packages of care to support for example sleep, toileting and behaviour. We work within a variety of settings such as clinics, schools and homes, no two days are the same. This role offers a genuine opportunity to make a positive impact on the children/young people and their familys lives.
Visits are required so there is an expectation for the successful candidates to be able to travel across the county to meet service need. We provide a comprehensive induction/training package.

- An understanding of child development and parent education initiatives, such as toilet training, behaviour management, sleep and diet.
- An understanding of childrens safeguarding and have a non-judgemental approach to support families and the ability to share and report concerns to your line manager.
- An individual who can be proactive and deliver a package of care under the supervision of a Health Visitor. We would welcome staff that have the experience and confidence to deliver group presentations to parents in support of health promotion activities.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Good IT skills are essential as all record keeping is completed electronically.
- To be able to work in a number of different areas and have the skills to adapt to the needs of the family and child.
- To be committed to working collaboratively and in partnership with Early Help and Social Care colleagues to improve outcomes of children and young people, under the supervision of the Health Visitor.
- Above all else you need to have a positive "can do" attitude and be passionate about making a difference for the children and young people of Lincolnshire.
