Job summary
Swindon Borough Council is delighted to
be looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Targeted Mental Health
(TaMHS) team within child and family health services as a full time Senior
Clinical Practitioner. TaMHS are Swindons Getting Help (Tier 2) CAMHS service,
and work with children and young people from 0-18 to deliver short term
evidenced based interventions to improve their mental health and emotional
well-being.
Your

We welcome applications from Registered Mental Health
Nurses, Adult Nurses, Childrens Nurses or Learning Disability Nurses, who are
currently registered with the NMC or a qualified Social Worker currently registered
with the HCPC.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of how mental health issues can impact emotional
development with a relevant experience of working with children, young people
and families in a multi-agency setting.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for managing their own caseload of children and young
people between the ages of 0-18 for which you will co-ordinate care in
conjunction with other professionals in the childrens services teams, schools,
voluntary sector and CAMHS. The
successful candidate will undertake assessments and short-term therapeutic
interventions. You
will also provide clinical, case supervision and appraisals to your direct
reports in the team and ideally would have supervisory or management
experience.
Applicants will be highly motivated with excellent
communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with
professionals, children, young people and their families. IT proficient;
candidates will also demonstrate the ability to work creatively and on your own
initiative. In
