The Disability Social Care 0-25 Service has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join our specialist Disabled Childrens Social Work North Team.

The team provide ahigh quality and effective social work serviceresponding to the needs of thechildren and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines. We assessneed, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard children, and promote positiveoutcomes.

This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a lively and dynamic team on a full time, permanent basis.We are a strong team who communicate well and support each other to put children at the centre of everything we do. We would love for you to join us and experience this for yourself.

The role is hybrid with a mix of home and office working. The office is located at either Scott House, Huntingdon or Awdry House, Wisbech and Social Workers are generally expected to be here once or twice a week after their induction period. Wesupportflexible working requests from day one of employment and so we are open to discussing different working patterns, in line with the needs of the service, to help you bring your best self to work.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for managing risk and supporting children and young people assessed as being children in need, at risk of significant harm or for whom the Local Authority is a Corporate Parent. You will manage a complex caseload and achieve positive outcomes for the countys most vulnerable residents.

In the Disabled Childrens team, we are dedicated to supporting you. We have separated our case and personal supervisions so that we can focus on your development and progression.

We also hold weekly wellbeing catch ups and case discussion huddles so that you can share concerns and experiences.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of relevant SEND legislation and policy, along with knowledge of the factors that lead to improved outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

You will be a confident and dynamic individualwhoenjoys making a difference in theirlocal community. Curious to explore possibilities, you'llspot things that others might not see andenjoybuilding relationships.

You must:

  • Be aqualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration
  • Havethe ability towork from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
