Job summary
Huntingdon Accommodation Services, located in Huntingdon and Wyton, provides support to tenants with learning disabilities in a supported living environment. We currently have two vacancies at our Huntingdon service, each for 35 hours on a night time rota. As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team, working to empower adults with learning disabilities. Your role will involve enhancing their quality of life, maximising their potential, and promoting independence both at home and in the community. We are looking for two permanent waking Night Support Workers who are motivated, enthusiastic and creative team players committed to providing high quality support. You will need to be confident to undertake personal care tasks and have a willingness and capacity to work with people who may challenge. You may be required to work across services including both respite and supported living to meet service needs and will have the opportunity to work additional hours across the service. You will have the benefits of regular supervision, annual appraisals and excellent training opportunities including face-face training. There will also be a need to attend staff meetings which are held once a month. Both positions are part of a rolling 4-week rota, including Bank Holidays and weekends and enhancements are paid for working unsociable hours. Interviews will take place on the 5th Nov 2025 in person. Please note that these roles do not meet the salary requirements for us to be able to offer sponsorship.

You will be a caring, passionate and motivated person keen to make a difference and provide exceptional care and support. You will be able to empower individuals and recognise that each person is unique in their needs and choices. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a good level of IT ability in order to complete risk assessments and update personal records. You will have a sensitive and a professional approach in managing your work and an understanding of equal opportunities, diversity and safeguarding. The role will involve the administration of medication, and the provision of personal care.
