Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for a Finance Assistant to join the Childrens Commissioning Finance Team on a permanent basis. You will provide effective and accurate payment of c£39 million of Childrens Commissioning transactions, ensuring that Providers are accurately paid and agencies invoiced. You will assist with the monitoring of budgets in accordance with Council financial processes, systems and instructions and complete regular integrity checks and reconciliations to ensure that all payments made are correct. Main duties of the job
You will have previous experience within finance and will have previously worked with finance systems and kept accurate financial records. You will have knowledge of payment systems, ERP and ideally previous exposure to CONTROCC . You will have good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and will have good interpersonal and customer care skills and the ability to proactively lead, deal with and resolve provider queries regarding payments. You will also have the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues, other teams, and partners. For more information please see attached Job Description and Person Specification.
