Job responsibilities

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to shape the future of our Participation Team and Independent Visitor Service. As a key player in our organisation, you will be responsible for driving innovative projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to our strategic direction.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of office (Scott House in Huntingdon) and home working alongside working in the community at a variety of bases throughout Cambridgeshire. It will also involve some evening working and occasional weekends.

What will you be doing?

You will line manage our energetic and engaged Participation Officers to oversee the development and implementation of strategic initiatives; manage project timelines and budgets; and ensure the successful delivery of key objectives.

You will play a crucial role in stakeholder engagement, being innovative in approaches to engaging those who receive a service, to ensure their voice is sought, listened to and used to inform service development.

You will provide regular updates and reports to senior management and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

You will co-ordinate our Independent Visitor Service, ensuring the safe recruitment and training of volunteers; management of expense budgets; and provision of support and supervision. You will review applications to carefully match Children to Independent Visitors and support introduction visits to ensure the best start to new matches.
