Main duties of the job
Your role and responsibilities
Suffolk County Council (SCC) delivers the 0 - 19 Healthy Child Service for the whole of Suffolk, which includes School Nursing, Health and Children's Centres, Family Nurse Partnership Services and our Health Business Centre.
We are a fully integrated service that is able to responsively support the needs of children and their families in a timely manner.SCC has invested in Staff Nurses to work alongside Health Visitors and Healthy Child Practitioners to facilitate improved public health outcomes.
In addition to the Universal Healthy Child Program we provide an enhanced offer to children and their families who are vulnerable. You will work with families with children under the age of 5 years, individually and in groups, to support them to reach their potential.
SCC has a long reputation of training Health Visitors and this role provides valuable experience that may lead to Health Visitor training.
