Main duties of the job

You will:

  • work with the Senior and Clinical Governance team to provide clinical leadership, management, and quality assurance to staff working across the 0-19 service
  • provide professional support, clinical innovation, and support clinical governance to ensure safe and effective delivery of care to children, young people, and their families
  • work as an interface between health visiting and maternity services in the coordination of health visiting and maternity services governance arrangements.
  • ensure patient safety and quality meets clinical governance structures and that the highest standards of patient care and safety are implemented
  • promote and maintain cohesive working relationships with LMNS and midwifery trusts locally
  • ensure the locality teams are informed and responsive to trends and themes in complaints and incidents and participate in shared learning with maternity services, driving quality improvement processes for all staff
  • maintain a robust system for audit activity across the locality, supporting clinical audits and undertaking bespoke audits as agreed
  • ensure the locality is compliant with all Safeguarding policies and procedures and liaise with the organisational Safeguarding Lead to enable an effective learning environment
  • lead and monitor the performance across the team and/ or service, representing the team at any inspection such as CQC.

You will be joining the management team at a time of significant growth and development providing a role within quality assurance.

The Corporate Governance Team is expanding, and you will be pivotal in its success. Based at Endeavour House Ipswich, the team support across CYP Health Community Services, ensuring the safety and quality of service to both staff and service users.
