The Family Consultation Service is a multi-disciplinary team that sits within Wandsworth's Schools and Community Psychology Service (SCPS).The SCPS consists of a team of Psychologists, Trainee Psychologists, CYP MH PT Trainees, Systemic Family Therapists and Clinical Practitioners. As part of Wandsworth Council, we are a key service contributing to work that aims to improve educational, social and mental health outcomes for children and young people living and being educated in Wandsworth. We have a strong traded presence with our local schools as well as strong links with other teams and university organisations.
You will be part of our Family Consultation service, which offers consultation and brief interventions such as systemic therapy, CBT, or other evidence-based therapies, in our Tier 2 services based in Springfield Hospital and in schools and other community locations across the area as required.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist or Family & Systemic Psychotherapist (PO6: £51,540 - £62,451)
- We welcome applications from other professionals with relevant qualifications and registration (such as experienced EMHPs and CWPs) or those who are working towards registration with a relevant professional body. These applicants will be appointed at a lower pay scale (PO4: £46,206 - £55,992 or PO5: £48,874 -£59,220). Please see the Job Profile for further details.
- Experience of carrying out assessments and interventions with children and young people, and value collaborative inter-agency working.
- Experience and skills in risk assessment and management, and of working in a fast-paced setting such as the NHS and/or local authority with a CAMHS population.
