Sutton have developed a new Front Door service whose focus is to improve access and the experience of the resident. The team will focus on the person's strength and abilities, screening to see if the person has safeguarding, deprivation of liberty safeguards or Care Act eligibility. Our ambition is also to provide information, advice that support our residents' independence. Our DoLs team comprising Best Interest Assessors (BIAs) undertake assessments on behalf of the Borough, leading to Standard Deprivations of Liberty under the Mental Capacity Act
Main duties of the job

Assistant Team Managers play a vital role in delivering high-quality social care services to adults in need. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our strength-based approach, focused on achieving the best outcomes for our service users. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Team Manager to deliver our statutory social care duties, ensuring that work of your team is of the highest standard.
- Manage Best Interest Assessors, carry a small caseload, and other relevant duties as assigned by the Team Manager in support of the overall service delivery.
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will support team operations, including recruitment, retention, and workload allocation. You will provide ongoing supervision to maintain exceptional standards of casework and offer guidance while leveraging the expertise of the Team Manager for support on complex cases. Additionally, you will contribute to ensuring that commissioned services are cost-effective and, where appropriate, participate in the co-production of service improvements with service users and family care.
