About the Team and the Role
We have an exciting opportunity within Warwickshire County Councils Public Health Mental Health and Harm Reduction team for a Public Health Principal position.
Main duties of the job
Main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting a collaborative approach to harm reduction work in Warwickshire
- Co-ordinating Warwickshire's new Synthetic Opioid Preparedness plan
- Monitoring real time surveillance data of drug-related deaths in Warwickshire
- Co-ordination of Warwickshire's Local Drug Information System
- Co-ordination of Warwickshire's Drug Related Deaths and Harms sub-group
- Contributing towards Warwickshire's Drug and Alcohol Strategic Partnership and leading the delivery plan refresh
- Supporting the development and implementation of Warwickshire's alcohol-related harm action plan
The work that this role will undertake will support with harm reduction and prevention of drug and alcohol related deaths. The Public Health Principal will work closely with partners across Warwickshire to ensure a co-ordinated response to drug and alcohol use across the county, guided by local data. As you will be working with a variety of stakeholders, it is important you have strong written analytical and communication skills.
