An exciting opportunity has arisen within our new Urgent Care and Telecare Response Service for a Senior Allocations Officer to join us!
Main duties of the job
The Urgent Care and Telecare Response Service operates within Wiltshire Support at Home. Our mission is to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions by providing timely and effective care. Where possible we promote independence of our service recipients, ensuring a positive experience that supports both their mental and physical well-being.
As a Senior Allocation Officer, you will work closely with the Team Leader and Registered Manager to allocate support packages and schedule support visits for our customers. As part of this role, you will work alongside health professionals and locality teams to arrange and accept service referrals, whilst ensuring that all customer visits are assigned to support workers, accounting for travel time and maintaining CQC compliance. You will manage spreadsheets to document care hours and brokerage requirements, enabling the service to meet KPIs.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex processes for allocating approximately 600-800 hours of care support packages per week and have the ability to set up customer care packages. As part of the role travel across Wiltshire for customer visits will be required therefore a drivers license and access to a vehicle are preferred, however they are negotiable. A friendly and caring attitude and strong knowledge of computer systems such as Excel alongside experience in managing hospital discharges will be essential.
