Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist Rotation Social Care
We are recruiting to our community rotation for newly qualified occupational therapists in social care.
Heres what our existing Newly Qualified OTs from 2022 to 2023 said about the preceptorship support and development opportunities they had with us:
Thank you for the time and support put into this programme. It has been invaluable, personally and professionally. I am grateful to have been part of this programme, it has been the best start to my OT journey nothing can take that away. I feel very valued and supported.
Occupational therapists are highly valued members of our Social Care team, with occupation central to everything we do. If you want to make a difference to enable individuals to live their lives their way at home, build on your core occupational therapy skills and work flexibly in a great team - then this rotation is the job for you.
Each rotation is 8 months and community based, working with people in their own homes and include the following teams:
Main duties of the job
Childrens and Young People Disability Team working with 0-18 year olds with physical, learning and communication disabilities within their home environment. Enabling them to reach and work towards their developmental milestones.
Mental Health Enablement Services- supporting people to conquer everyday challenges and live their lives.
Housing Occupational Therapy Services(Adults and Children) working with people to overcome their environmental barriers through complex adaptations and more.

All teams provide diverse experience working with people living with a wide range of conditions to enable their independence and wellbeing in their own homes. Youll learn to manage your own caseload, enable people to have independence and wellbeing within their lives, and work alongside informal carers and families. Youll become skilled in prescribing and risk assessing a range of manual handling, daily living equipment and major adaptations. Youll broaden your multi-disciplinary working within friendly, experienced teams.
