Job summary

Join our fantastic Health Visiting Service. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated administrator to join our multi-skilled team, who are focused on delivering impeccable customer service to our service users to really make our service users and staff feel the difference.

The health visiting administration team are based at the civic centre, you will be responsiblefor the administrative duties supporting the health visiting team. To assist with the provision of the 0-19 team and contribute to the effective running of the clinics through the delivery of administrative tasks which directly support the service and by maintaining administrative systems and procedures including incoming calls, transferring client records in and out of the service and multiple administration duties.

Main duties of the job

Main Responsibility

Your days will be fulfilling and rewarding and some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Handling general enquires from patients, other healthcare professionals and partner agencies where appropriate.
  • Manage incoming calls and action as required.
  • Allocation of work to staff.
  • To assist with the distribution of mail and notices as required.
  • Send appointment for staff when required.
  • Run reports from clinical system.
  • Book any required translators for appointments.
  • Management of patient and records.
  • To maintain high standards of data quality.
  • Production of letters as required.
  • To assist in the inputting of data into the clinical system.
  • Recording of messages for clinical staff, ensuring that they are accurate and passed the appropriate party.
  • To deal effectively with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Support the administration of Child Health clinics.
  • Be able to prioritise workload and use own initiative.
  • Work flexibly in response to the needs of the service.
  • Undertake any additional duties as required;
  • Liaise with management and HV team to resolve any problems/issues.
