An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Front Door Team as a Social Worker.

We are seeking amotivated and skilled Social Workerto join our Adult Social Care Front Door Team. This is a key role in afast-paced, high-volume environment, where you will be the first point of contact for adults presenting with a wide range of needs.

You will be required to hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered withSocial Work England. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in prioritising cases, assessing risk, and making quick, complex decisions under pressure.
  • A commitment to relationship-based practice and promoting independence.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • A reflective approach to practice, valuing supervision and peer support.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing incoming referrals and undertaking initial assessments.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the local authority, health services, and voluntary sector.
  • Promoting astrengths-based, person-centred approachto maximise independence and wellbeing.
  • Maintaining accurate records and producing high-quality reports.
  • Ensuring adults and carers are supported to achieve their outcomes through effective partnership working.

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

  • A sound understanding of social work practice and relevant legislation, including theCare Act 2014andMental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Familiarity with statutory responsibilities and safeguarding procedures.
  • Knowledge of local resources, systems, and referral pathways.
