Travel across the county will be required for this role.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Supported Accommodation Registered Service Manager in overseeing/managing service delivery of our Young Peoples Supported Accommodation Service across North Yorkshire, including the provision of No Wrong Door Supported Accommodation. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality supported accommodation services to vulnerable young people 16-18 and supporting them to develop their life skills and prepare for adult life.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the Registered Service Manager in the day-to-day management of the service, including:
Day to day operational management of the service
Regulatory compliance, quality assurance and practice monitoring
Resource management staffing, budget, and supported accommodation properties
Ensuring accommodation standards are maintained
Management support to a multi-disciplinary team
Oversee the delivery of support to young people in four key areas:
UASC Supported Accommodation
No Wrong Door Supported Accommodation
Emergency Safe Stay Provision emergency bed for max 4 consecutive nights
Outreach support to Young People in our care/care experienced young people at risk of tenancy accommodation breakdown
As Deputy manager, you will need
Knowledge on relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards for Supported Accommodation
Experience working in residential care or supported accommodation settings as a senior worker or at management level.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to be highly organised and be resilient and flexible in your work practice.
The ability to promote a positive and supportive culture and environment based on the models of practice core offers of both the Supported Accommodation service and No Wrong Door and
To be able to work collaboratively with other professionals or agencies.
