Qualified Children's Wellbeing Practitioner

Job summary

The role will be within our single point of access team (SPA), providing brief assessments and short-term evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and families (main communication for this role will be virtual using MS Teams and telephone. The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality, brief outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.

Main duties of the job

There are two full-time positions and one part-time position (18.5 hours a week). The role is Hybrid, based across our office base (around 3 days a week, which could increase with service needs) and working remotely from home.

  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology or related subject, or Successful completion of Certificate in Childrens Wellbeing Practice (CWP), with post qualification experience as a CWP ( Qualification for PWP or equivalent will be considered.

  • Strong understanding of how to work with children and young people who have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
  • Ability to make an assessment of risk and to record and communicate it appropriately, and to take appropriate action to mitigate or manage
