We areseekingto appoint a Team Manager in Northumberlands Adult Social Work Academy.

Main duties of the job

About the role

NCC established a Social Work Academy (SWA) in2022and we were one of the first Adult Academys to be developed across England and Wales. The SWA is the foundation of our recruitment and retention strategy. We currently support both Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) within their Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE) and our Social Work Apprentices who are embarking on their Social Work qualification.

Current researchhasevidencedthat thededicatedsupport given tobothNQSWsand Apprentices enablesthem to have a positive experience of social work at the start of theircareer.

The SWA supports the delivery of highsocial workstandards and helps deliver positive outcomes for adults who haveidentifiedcare needs.

This specialist team manager role is pivotal in the development of our workforce. They will lead a team of dedicated staff who assess and support both NQSWs and Social Work Apprentices.
