Job responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for a delegated caseload of adult service users in the community. They will undertake assessments, follow-up visits and reviews within a person's home environment. Working within a legal framework, team members follow a 'ladder approach' to the prescription of equipment and minor and major adaptations, and provide education and advice on techniques.

People you work with may have a learning disability, and physical or mental health constraints, sensory loss, or a combination of these presentations.

The successful postholder will be based in Truro.

The team comprises of the Team Manager, Practice OT, Band 5 and 6 OT's, OTA's, Technical Officers and Sensory Loss workers.

Working Pattern:

Discussion at interview is welcomed. Pay based on 32 hours (pro rata), Monday-Friday.

There may also be some opportunities to work in our front door service, this is a short term 6 week service provided to maximise independence to prevent, reduce and delay.
