We deliver a broad range of healthcare services to older people with mental and physical health needs, offering long term dementia care and short stay community beds. Some of our settings offer a unique discharge service that supports hospital leavers either return home with a package of care, or on to a residential setting. This variety means that no two days are ever the same.
Surrounded by a well-resourced multi-disciplinary team, youll be fully supported in your determination to provide the highest quality care to our service users.
Our nurses deal with both clinical diagnosis and treatment. As a qualified nurse with current NMC registration, youll be responsible for the whole patient experience and build relationships with the people in your care. Our service users are at the heart of everything we do, and our sole aim is to give them the dignity, respect and independence they deserve.

Main duties of the job
n this role you will be responsible for:
- Provision of person-centered, professional nursing care to residents within Older Persons nursing homes and Short-Term Services.
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care plans for a designated number of residents.
- Maintaining accurate records on resident care and reporting clinical and non-clinical events to assist with internal and external audits.
- Supervising, mentoring, supporting and educating more junior staff in the unit.
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals and work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a timely escalation when needed.
- Promoting good practice to achieve continuous improvements in nursing care and assist with audit trials and bench marking clinical services within the nursing unit.

- Able to provide direct care for the client group you'll be managing and

- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Basic IT skills/or a willingness to undertake training.
- Experience of managing/supervising staff.
