Exciting Opportunity for Community Response Assistant Level 2 (CRA 2)
Due to progression with our team we have an exciting opportunity to join the Hampshire County Council Reablement North Team based in Basingstoke. The team provides Reablement in the community to frail and vulnerable Adults across Hampshire. The team includes the Community Response Team, Occupational Therapists and Sensory Officers.
The Reablement team will be working in partnership with our Health colleagues to help reduce the need for the service user to be admitted to hospital. You will provide Reablement by offering encouragement and guidance to maximize the independence and potential, by helping service users to remain living in their own home. This will include intimate personal care, continence care, Moving and Handling to continuously work towards the service users independence.
Main duties of the job
We have a vacancy for a Community Response Assistant level 2, your responsibilities will be to ensure that initial visits with service users which include risk assessments, goal setting and updating the service users reablement plans are completed for all our CRA1s to follow. There is an element of personal care to be provided within this role, you will also coach and mentor CRA 1s to ensure staff meet levels of expected competence. CRA 2s also supports Team Leaders, Occupational Therapists and Sensory Officers within their daily responsibilities.
In return, you will receive professional ongoing training, comprehensive induction and the full support of Managers, Team Leaders, Occupational Therapists and Sensory Loss Officers who will provide coaching and mentoring.
You will be expected to work on a rolling roster, which includes AMs, PMs and weekend shifts. Service hours are between 07:00-22:00, 365 days of the year.
You will need to travel across the area, and you will be paid travel from your office base.
