About the Service
Our specialist dementia care settings offer long-term residential support and short-term breaks, including day and overnight services. These environments are thoughtfully designed to meet the complex needs associated with dementia, providing safety, dignity, and meaningful engagement.
You will lead a team of dedicated professionals in delivering:
- Quality care that supports people to live well with dementia.
- Remodelled services that reflect best practice and innovation.
- Breaks and respite that support individuals and their carers to have breaks that benefit everyones well-being, and enabling people remain living in their communities.
- Activities and engagement tailored to each persons history, preferences, and abilities.
Main duties of the job
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing a 24/7 specialist residential service and day and overnight breaks across multiple care types.
- Embedding a culture of excellence, transparency, and continuous learning.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding standards.
- Driving service transformation aligned with the Councils strategic goals.
- Collaborating with families, carers, and professionals to co-produce care that truly matters.
- Providing meaningful activity and engagement based on individual needs, in a safe and supportive environment.

- In depth knowledge of the provision of specialist dementia care across a range of services
- Sound knowledge of financial regulations and budget monitoring
- Excellent project management skills to manage multiple projects across the care provision, ensuring agreed outcomes and value for money
- Ability to persuade others and influence outcomes critical to the business
- In depth knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on the area of provision
- Ability to identify and manage risk in the defined service area
- Ability to plan for long term service delivery, needs and developments
- In depth understanding of Quality Assurance principles
- Management techniques in a large complex organisation
- The ability to speak fluent English in order to communicate fully in the role with clients and the public
- Ability to analyse data, and apply findings to inform sound business decisions
