Northern Public Health Nursing Team Leader

Public Health Nursing have an exciting opportunity in the North Devon and Torridge PHN team for the position of Team Leader.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational leadership and management of public health nursing teams in North Devon and Torridge. They will ensure the delivery of an effective and appropriate service that identifies need within a family, school or community and addresses health inequalities. This includes first line safeguarding advice and supervision. In addition, the post holder will support the development and implementation of service development, standard setting, clinical audit and benchmarking, to deliver needs-led evidence-based care that supports the local and national priorities.

  • SCPHN (HV or School Nurse) qualification at degree level.
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife.
  • Mentor/practice assessor qualification.
  • Post SCPHN registration experience.

Desirable

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience gained by undertaking
  • on- going personal development and training.

  • Commit and conform to DCC Customer Service Standards Registered Health Professional-All staff who are a member of a professional body must comply with standards of professional practice / conduct. It is the post holders responsibility to ensure they are both familiar with and adhere to these requirements. Nursing or registered healthcare professionals-Undertake all aspects of medicines management related activities in accordance within the companys medicines policies to ensure the safe, legal and appropriate use of medicines.
