THIS ROLE IS FIXED TERM UNTIL MARCH 2024Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are wonderful places to live and work. We need a new short-term analyst (until end March 2024) to join our intelligence team within the public health directorate which covers both local authorities. The intelligence work is vital for improving the health and wellbeing of our residents, and tackling the inequalities in health that persist in our area.This is a perfect earlier role for someone with analytical skills and aptitudes who wants to develop a career in the fascinating field of public health or the wider public sector. We are looking for a new colleague with some existing data and analytic skills, and who has a talent (and ideally experience) for working with data and presenting it to different audiences. We need someone who is fast to learn new skills and pick up the context of our work quickly, and who can work from home as well as in our offices when required. You do not need to have worked in public health before.

Main duties of the job

To assist in the delivery of a comprehensive public health information analysis service to Peterborough City Council (PCC), Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) and the local NHS system (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Commissioning System ICS) and wider partners. To support the Public Health Intelligence Team in identifying and delivering public health information needs, working in conjunction with colleagues on major Public Health projects such as Joint Strategic Needs Assessments and independently to produce reports to answer ad hoc queries from stakeholders throughout the councils and the local healthcare economy.
