Job summary

Edmonton Community Mental Health Locality Team seeks an experienced Mental Health Social Worker/AMHP practitioner to fill vacancy n our fully integrated multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team and to participate in our centralised AMHP Service Rota.

Full time salary up to £56,107

Please note the salary quoted above is inclusive of additional increments paid once registered with Enfield to practice as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP).

The Senior Practitioner starting salary until AMHP registered with Enfield is £49,551 - £51,522.

The salary range once registered as an AMHP with Enfield is £51,522 - £53,607.

In addition to this AMHP responsibilities also currently qualifies for a market factor supplement of £2,500.

Main duties of the job

The position provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitionerin a leadership role to contribute to the development, training and shaping of Mental Health social work practice and service delivery. The position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner todemonstratecreativity to make a real difference in vulnerable peoples lives; and to influence and shape the practice of community mental health social workers, AMHPs and aspiring AMHPs, along with supportingthe practice development of junior social workers through professional Supervision, and Practice Education/AYSE Programs.

We seek and imaginative and dynamic social work practitionermotivated to make positive contributes to the transformation of mental health social care, asserting social recovering and empowerment models, working in meaningful partnerships with service users, their carers, and families. You will make full use of person-centred assessment skills, using strengths-based and enabling principals, demonstrate coordination and planning skills, with a focus on prevention, recovery, wellbeing, and dignity outcomes.

Experience

  • As a regular and intrinsic part of this role requires you to speak to members of the public in English, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential and consistent with the requirements of this role. This role also requires you to be polite and courteous when conversing with the public and other professionals.
  • A relevant social work professional qualification DipSW, CQSW or equivalent, and AMHP qualification. Level 4: Minimum of 2 years experience of work as a qualified Social Worker and Practicing AMHP working with people with Mental Health problems and their carers in a Senior Practitioner/Team Leader position or acting position. Supervising staff and carrying out team leader responsibilities, and ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as and when required.
  • Post qualifying/Senior Practitioner experience that demonstrates the ability to manage and prioritise a complete workload, work to changing and often conflicting demands to manage varying levels of risk, with experience of CPA, Care Management, Crisis Management, Personalisation and Strength based approaches.
