Your role As Team Manager, you will lead and support a dynamic team of Occupational Therapists and OT Assistants delivering person-centred, strength-based interventions. You will ensure high-quality service delivery, promote independence, and support wellbeing through innovative and responsive practice. Our staff team are skilled, committed, friendly and supportive. To support them to undertake their role we are seeking a new dynamic Team Manager to continue this development.

We are committed to personalised, strength-based approaches and to support B&NES citizens to remain active, independent and at home.

The team undertake functional assessments of varying complexity within the home environment and at our OT assessment centre.

The team is responsible for assessing individual needs and providing tailored solutions, which may include specialist equipment, minor home modifications, or complex major adaptations. We also offer recommendations on housing options to ensure, accessible and independent living.

About You

You are an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with substantial post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care and have advanced knowledge of minor and major adaptations(DFGs), specialist equipment, and Adult Social Care legislation.

You have:

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • In- depth knowledge of legislation including, but not exclusive to, the Care Act, Housing, Mental Capacity Act, and Moving and Handling.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and partnership working abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a coaching approach to management.
  • An openness to new ideas and the ability to inspire others to confidently embrace change.
  • Due to the nature of the role, being a car driver is essential.
