Job summary

We are looking for an Extra Care Support Worker to be based in one of our Extra Care Services at Greenacres Court in Midsomer Norton on a Part-time basis, on permanent contract. This post is for 20.00 hours per week, and this involves a rota system which includes early shifts (starting at 7.30am) and late shifts (ending at 21.30pm) and working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid. Our Extra Care homes offer a vibrant community atmosphere in Bath and North East Somerset.

Main duties of the job

As an Extra Care Support Worker, you will: -Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing -Promote tenants independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care -Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants -Providing support to access third party and NHS services -Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed -Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives. What is Extra Care? Extra Care Housing is for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme. Our Extra care housing services have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.
