Job summary
We are looking for an Extra Care Shift Leader to be based in one of our Extra Care Services at Hawthorn Court on a part time basis. This permanent role is for 24.5 hours per week and involves a rota system which will involve working a combination of early (starting at 7:30 am) and late shifts (finishes at 10:15pm). You also will be working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid. The Hawthorn Court offers a vibrant community atmosphere which is in Keynsham, and this is easily accessible via public transport or car.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who is approachable and able to interact confidently with colleagues, other professionals, and members of the public, including service users, their families, and carers. The ability to communicate with clarity and empathy is vital. This post would suit someone who thrives in a busy team, who can think on their feet and who is able to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines and can be proactive in identifying and resolving problems. One of the councils strategic objectives is to ensure we deliver excellent quality care services. To support this objective and aid individuals living within their own home environment we are seeking to appoint a compassionate, caring, and reliable experienced senior care worker. About You Previous comprehensive experience of supervising a team in a care setting is essential, as is a commitment to delivering quality care .
