We are looking for a Deputy Managers to join our teams across our care homes in Bath, Midsomer Norton and Bath. Residential and nursing homes care for older adults living with dementia and other sometimes complexneeds.

Within the Deputy Manager role, you will have the opportunity to support our registered managers working with our fantastic teams of passionate staff including casual workers and agency workers.

The role of theDeputy Manageris to assist the registeredmanagerwith all aspects of thehomemanagement. TheDeputy Managerwill deputise in the absence of themanager. TheDeputy managerholds overall responsibility for maintaining and monitoring high quality clinicalcarefor residents.

Main duties of the job

Attributes & Experience desired for role:

  • NVQ Level 3 and above, in Health and social Care
  • Be prepared to undertake NVQ 4/5 in Management.
  • Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of CQC requirements.
  • Kind, caring and passionate about providing top quality care.
  • Confidence in managing a Dementia Residential Care Home.
  • Demonstrated strong management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Strong team player with excellent negotiating and influencing skills, who can work in a collaborative style.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and an ability to manipulate data in excel to produce relevant management information.
  • Able to interpret, explain and understand sometimes complex data with good accuracy and great attention to detail.
  • The ability and flexibility to work across and support a wide range of services within the Council. Additionally, the ability to work with different partner or commissioned organisations.
  • Good communication skills and approachable manner.
  • Being able to train, support and development their staff and teams.
  • Understands the importance of good pastoral care of staff members and their well-being.

This is a challenging but rewarding role. Previous experience of working in the care home sector is desirable, as is experience of managing a team or working in a supervisory capacity. The Deputy Manager plays a vital role in being the link between the team and the Registered Manager.
