Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an excellent and visionary senior leader to join our values driven organisation as Assistant Director of Business Development. This is a crucial role which is accountable for delivery of our 'Business Growth, Partnerships and Engagement' strategic programme. This programme is one of 3 key strategic ambitions as part of the Spectrum Business Strategy 2025-2028

You will be responsible for horizon scanning and pipeline development, leading and coordinating tenders including crafting tender responses and new business decision support. The role includes maintaining and fostering new strategic relationships with both existing and new partners and the design and mobilisation of new products and services. Skills and ambition in the use and adoption of data analytics and emerging new technologies that enhance and inform procurement responses, relationship management, targeted business developments and the way we articulate our impact, benefits realisation and business cases is highly desirable

Main duties of the job

You will have an opportunity to work with an ambitious Executive Team, senior leaders and operational colleagues leading programmes of work to deliver our business strategy and shape the systems we work in through effective collaborations and strategic partnerships. You will also work as a key member of our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) working with other senior leaders across Spectrum.

Have you got significant proven experience of leading and delivering service redesign, organisational change and strategy development in a complex working environment?

Can you demonstrate a strong track record of winning new business through successful tender submissions including a demonstrable track record of crafting tenders and complex bid coordination, getting the best out of the Spectrum group of companies within health and social care, working where relevant with a range of strategic partners, commissioning frameworks and within the new national provider selection regime.

Can you show us that you are able to constantly improve our business growth and contract retention strategies, learning from procurements and contributing to the leadership of programmes of mobilisations and demobilisations ?

Are you a successful strategic leader who can bring vision to life in respect of Spectrum's commercial growth, partnerships and engagement strategy and lead high performing teams to do so?

  • Educated to master's degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level experience gained in a similar senior management role.
