Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced GP to further develop an interest in Inclusion medicine and to develop as a leader. You will join our award-winning team as the Regional Lead GP for the North-West secure health & justice services. You may be an experienced prison doctor already or, perhaps, a community GP looking for a new challenge and working environment.

As Regional Lead GP you will be working within the Medical Directorate to oversee the delivery and development of medical services across the North West secure estate portfolio. You will work closely alongside Spectrum's Responsible Officer and our 2 other Regional Lead GPs, working across the North-East and Yorkshire & Humber.

Peer mentorship will be provided by Senior Clinical and Operational leads within a supportive team environment. You will be a key stakeholder in ensuring delivery of a high-quality, collaborative & integrative health care model to a diverse population of socially excluded adults of all ages across the wider organisation. You will also provide regular mentorship and supervision to the NW GPs and ANPs to give clinical governance assurances.

Face-to-face clinical sessions will take place within the North West prison estate, and location may vary/can be flexible, in consideration for the candidate and operational needs. Protected time for operational and strategic work will include both remote and on-site working to optimise your time most efficiently, whilst building critical stakeholder relationships with colleagues.
