Job summary
Working with our Paediatric Dentistry team, you'll provide specialist care that supports children and their families to achieve the best possible oral health outcomes. Your work will help children with complex needs feel safe, understood and well cared for. You'll join a friendly, supportive service where clinical leadership, collaboration and high-quality care are central to how we work. You'll use your specialist skills to assess and treat children referred to the Community Dental Service, while helping shape safe, evidence-based practice across the team. What you'll do:
- Provide specialist paediatric dental assessments and treatment for children with diverse and complex needs
- Offer clinical advice and support to colleagues and contribute to service development
- Lead and support clinical governance activity, including audits and quality improvement
- Communicate clearly with children, families and professionals in sensitive situations
- Ensure safe, high-quality clinical records and uphold professional standards at all times
Main duties of the job
What we're looking for:
- Registration with the General Dental Council and on the Specialist List for Paediatric Dentistry
- Experience treating children with additional needs or complex medical histories
- Confidence managing conscious sedation within competencies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to ethical practice, learning and supporting others' development
