Job summary
This is a great opportunity to build your skills in oral health promotion while supporting local communities to improve their wellbeing. You'll join a friendly, committed team who deliver practical training and outreach across a wide range of settings. Your work will help children, families and carers understand how to look after their oral health, and you'll play a key part in rolling out important public health programmes that reduce health inequalities. What you'll do:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate oral health education sessions for different groups
- Lead local oral health initiatives, including supervised toothbrushing programmes
- Adapt training content to meet the needs of varied audiences
- Analyse data and information to support planning and decision-making
- Work with partners across health, education and social care to coordinate activities
Main duties of the job
What we're looking for:
- Level 3 Certificate in Oral Health Education and Promotion (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to groups
- Ability to organise your workload and work independently when needed
- Good IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office
- Experience delivering oral health education or similar community-based programmes
