Rotational Occupational Therapist

Job summary

Working with our team, you'll provide practical support that helps people regain independence and confidence after illness or injury. You'll work closely with colleagues, patients and carers to assess needs and plan safe, effective therapy that makes daily life easier. You'll use evidence-based practice, clear communication and a person-centred approach to guide people through their rehabilitation journey.

Main duties of the job

What you'll do:

  • Complete assessments and create therapy plans based on each person's goals
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy interventions in homes and community settings
  • Monitor risk and make decisions that keep people, carers and colleagues safe
  • Use clinical reasoning to review progress and adapt plans
  • Record accurate information and contribute to service development
What we're looking for:
  • A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration
  • Understanding of Occupational Therapy models, assessments and community practice
  • Ability to manage your own caseload and organise your work
  • Clear communication skills, especially when supporting people with complex needs
  • Willingness to learn, complete preceptorship and take part in supervision
