Smokefree Health Inequalities Lead (Liverpool)

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our training team for an enthusiastic individual who is able to manage their own workload and interested in working as part of a team, supporting people across Liverpool to increase knowledge and understanding of Smokefree services and Smokefree initiatives. Main duties of the job Your role will help us increase service awareness and community knowledge, thus increasing referrals into Smokefree services.

Main duties of the job

You will have knowledge and understanding of digital platforms and managing your own schedule. You will also be build relationships with external stakeholders and partners, and lead on targeting specific populations within the city with a higher prevalence of smoking, for example those with mental health conditions.

  • Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience
  • National Centre of Stop Smoking Cessation (NCSCT) training

Desirable

  • Professional qualification would be an advantage that is related to public health

Knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of issues related to Stop Smoking.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels both in written form and verbally
  • Effective management skills
  • Excellent organisation skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of policy relating to volunteer legislation

Experience

  • Experience of managing or co-ordinating staff
  • Experience of establishing new systems and processes
  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Good computer skills
