Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a static band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Hull Intermediate Care Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our expanding team. We support Hull and East riding patients with their rehabilitation journey within our 3 bedded units and complete urgent community response visits within the Hull boundaries. The post holder will take part in our 7 day rota within 2 shift patterns between 8 am and 8pm.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will offer a high standard of evidence based occupational therapy, working as part of a multidisciplinary/multi-agency team within a specific service area.
To be responsible for own autonomous practice and ensure effective patient/client care is maintained.

- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
- State Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
Desirable
- Demonstrable experience as a Practice Educator of pre-registration student
- Evidence of current CPD/formal qualifications at an advanced level e.g. degree or post graduate level or equivalent knowledge/experiential learning
Knowledge

- A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion
- Knowledge of occupational therapy models of practice, standardised assessments and their use
- Basic IT skills
