Job summary
About the Role As a Junior Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the finance and accounts department with day-to-day financial operations. Your contributions will help ensure accurate financial records, timely processing of invoices, and effective communication with internal teams and external partners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career looking to develop their skills within the dynamic health and social care sector.
The role is in-house in Chichester so please only apply if you are a commutable distance and you are able to work the full time hours of 9am - 5pm.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the processing of invoices, purchase orders and payments ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Support the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.
Maintain and update financial records and databases.
Assist with payroll administration, gathering and checking data as required
Communicate promptly and professionally with colleagues, suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries.
Support by assisting month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
Skills and Qualifications
Passed GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, A-levels. Qualifications in finance or business are advantageous but not necessary
Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role is desirable but not essential.
Good numerical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable working with finance software.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles within healthcare settings is a plus.
