Main duties of the job
What we are looking for
A clinical qualification in:
- Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Occupational/Education Psychology
- Social Work
- Nursing
- Occupational Therapy
- or Speech and Language Therapy
Relevant registration with HCPC, NMC or SWE, SCW or SSSC
Formal training in and experience delivering ADOS and ADI-R assessments, ideally online
Ideally you will have assessed both children and adults
A high level of written and verbal communication
Excellent knowledge of NICE guidelines and DSM-5 criteria
What youll do as a Specialist Neurodevelopment Practitioner:
Conduct high-quality autism assessments using gold standard assessment tools such as ADOS and ADI-R
On average we look for 2 ADOS *or* 1 ADI-R assessment per day
Deliver assessments for children, young people and adults
Use your clinical expertise and judgement, providing accurate diagnosis and post diagnostic recommendations
Collaborate with a highly-skilled MDT
Produce well-written clinical reports. You will have dedicated admin time to ensure you can keep on top of your workload
Provide meaningful feedback and recommendations for clients
Contribute to the development of the service
