The closing date is 01 April 2026

Job summary

Harley Street Mental Health (HSMH) is expanding our Altrincham office in Greater Manchester and we are looking for an experienced GP with Extended Role (GPwER) in neurodevelopmental care to join our friendly, clinician-led team, MondayFriday 09:0017:30.

This is a varied and rewarding role for a doctor who enjoys combining excellent clinical care with service development. You will deliver high-quality ADHD assessments and follow-ups, support safe and effective ADHD prescribing and monitoring, and provide clinical advice as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will also contribute to pathway and service improvement work, helping us maintain high standards, strong clinical governance, and an outstanding patient experience.

If you are passionate about neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based practice, have strong safeguarding and risk management skills, and want a role where your clinical expertise and leadership can genuinely shape a growing service, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Undertake comprehensive ADHD assessments and follow-up reviews, providing clear diagnostic formulations and practical, patient-centred recommendations. Support ADHD prescribing, titration, and monitoring in line with best practice, ensuring safe physical health checks, side-effect monitoring, and robust risk management.

Provide timely, high-quality clinical documentation and reports, maintaining accurate records on our clinical systems. Offer clinical advice to the wider team and contribute to duty cover for risk queries as required. Work closely with the MDT to support complex presentations and coordinate post-diagnostic care.

Alongside clinical work, contribute to service development and quality improvement activity, helping refine pathways, improve patient experience, and uphold strong governance standards. Participate in MDT meetings, supervision/CPD, and support the day-to-day clinical running of the Altrincham service.

About us

Harley Street Mental Health (HSMH) is a clinician-led, CQC-registered service delivering high-quality ADHD, autism and wider psychiatric assessments and treatment, in-person and via secure virtual consultations to both NHS and Private patients.

Our multidisciplinary team includes GMC-registered doctors and experienced clinicians, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice, strong safeguarding and clear, timely clinical documentation.

We work hard but look after each other: approachable leadership, regular MDT discussion, protected time for admin and CPD, and a culture of learning and continuous improvement. We value neurodiversity-affirming care, taking time to understand each persons story, focusing on practical outcomes, and treating patients with warmth, respect and professionalism.

As our Altrincham service grows, youll have the chance to influence pathways and patient experience while being part of a friendly team that takes pride in excellent clinical standards. Find out more at hsmh.co.uk.
