Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of the next phase of growth at Harley Street Mental Health at our head office in Altrincham, Manchester.

We're a fast-growing, clinician-led service delivering adult ADHD and wider neurodevelopmental care to both private and NHS patients.

You'll hold day-to-day accountability for safety, quality and patient experience, turning good practice into outstanding, inspection-ready care in line with CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs) for safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led services.

Main duties of the job

    • CQC Registered Manager: ensure legal compliance, update Statement of Purpose, evidence bases.

    • Lead governance: run risk meetings, manage audits, incidents, complaints, Duty of Candour.

    • Ensure safeguarding for adults/children, multi-agency collaboration.

    • Oversee info governance, DSPT compliance, MHSDS submissions.

    • Optimize ADHD/Autism pathways, meet KPIs for safety, outcomes.

    • Maintain accurate care/staff records.

    • Oversee medicines, e-prescribing with pharmacies.

    • Lead recruitment, training, supervision; engage stakeholders, manage budgets.

    • Drive improvement via feedback, QI for efficiency, equity.

    • Comply with Health and Social Care Act, CQC Standards.

    • Stay updated on NICE, GMC/NMC, NHS contracts.

    • Implement governance, safeguarding, infection control, incident systems.

    • Conduct monthly audits (prescribing, records, safeguarding).

    • Ensure NICE compliance for ADHD/Autism.

    • Review policies/protocols.

    • Lead teams, communicate clinic vision.

    • Ensure staff DBS, training, appraisals, CPD.

    • Foster inclusive culture.

    • Act as safeguarding lead, ensure compliance.

    • Manage complaints, incidents, feedback.

    • Oversee ADHD/Autism operations, monitor KPIs.

    • Ensure GDPR, DSPT compliance.

    • Liaise with CQC, NHS, GPs, pharmacies.

    • Represent clinic in reviews, audits.

    • Submit CQC notifications.

    • Lead service development, innovation.

Harley Street Mental Health is a private psychiatric clinic based at 10 Harley Street in London's renowned medical district, specialising in expert assessments and treatments for ADHD and other mental health conditions.

Founded by Psychiatrists, the clinic emphasises personalized, evidence-based care that adheres to NICE guidelines, UKAAN standards, and CQC regulations, prioritizing transparency and patient empowerment over one-size-fits-all approaches.

We are now expanding into the NHS, and require a Registered Manager for our Manchester office to help guide this expansion.

  • Desirable Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Health/Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Essential: Mental Health Nursing Background or
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or deputy in a CQC-regulated setting (e.g., clinic, hospital, or community service), with successful inspection outcomes.
  • Background in nursing or senior care is essential; additional experience in service development, and ADHD desirable
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective team management and supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
