Female Complex Care Assistant – Poole, Dorset

£14.85 per hour

Shifts Available (Bank Role):

• Poole: Tuesday & Wednesday 10:00 – 16:00

• Portland: Bank role also available – speak to the recruiter for more information

Driver required due to location

You’ll be working with a happy little boy with complex care needs, including hypoplastic kidneys requiring peritoneal dialysis. He also has challenging behaviour and uses non-invasive ventilation. He loves music and has his own phone for YouTube or Spotify. Hamid enjoys toys he can pass from hand to hand or mouth, and toys that make sounds, like bells or rattles.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in complex paediatric care! Basic care experience is required, and paediatric experience is preferable. Full training will be provided, including behavioural management and seizure support.

Experience We Are Looking For (desirable):

• Paediatric experience – preferable

• Supporting behaviours that challenge

• Gastrostomy replacement/management

• Medication administration

• Seizure management and epilepsy

• Non-invasive ventilation experience

• Learning disability experience desirable

What You’ll Do:

• Provide personal care and daily living support

• Assist with non-invasive ventilation and dialysis support under guidance

• Support client’s mobility, wellbeing, and engagement with activities

• Follow care plans and communicate effectively with the care team and family

• Support with epilepsy, seizure management, and medication administration

Essential
