Complex Care Assistant – Streatham Contract: Zero-hours Location: Streatham

Pay Rates: £16.53 - £21.48

Positions Available:

• 1 x Bank position (must be flexible for Days & Nights)

• 1 x Permanent position – 36 hours per week (days)

Client Interests Include:

• Sensory lights

• Hand and foot massages

• Listening to music (Gospel, Afro beats, and most varieties)

• Having stories read by a carer

• Sensory activities: touch and feel, sand, water, Playdough

• Messy play

• Going for walks outdoors in warm weather

• Lots of positive attention, interaction, and fun that makes him laugh

Important note: To ensure the client’s comfort and safety, carers should avoid strong scents, including perfume, deodorant, alcohol gel, and strongly-scented laundry products (e.g., fabric softeners). Light scents are fine — the goal is a comfortable, allergy-friendly environment.

Essential Experience:

• Tracheostomy care

• Oral  & tracheal  suctioning

• Dystonia and seizure management

• Learning disabilities

• Medication administration (Upskilling not available for these core competencies — experience required)

Qualifications

Essential

• Essential experience includes tracheostomy care, oral and tracheal suctioning, dystonia and seizure management, learning disabilities, and medication administration. Upskilling is not available for these core competencies, and experience is required.
