Job summary

This is a bank role for a Spinal Injury Support Worker to join the complex care team at Libertatem Healthcare Group in Llandudno, Conwy. The role involves supporting a young man in his late 20s living independently with a C5 & C6 spinal injury, helping him stay active and independent while providing personal care, mobility, and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex care, an active and empathetic personality, and a full UK driving licence with their own transport.

Main duties of the job

The Spinal Injury Support Worker will be responsible for providing personal care, mobility and hoisting, catheter and bowel care, medication and health monitoring, emotional support and companionship, as well as supporting the individual's hobbies and social activities. The role requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts, Monday to Sunday.

About the Role

Join our complex care team supporting a young man in his late 20s living independently in Llandudno who sustained a C5 & C6 spinal injury  with resulted in paralysis. 

He enjoys walking his dog,  90’s music, beach trips & road adventures.

You’ll help him stay active and independent while supporting his complex care needs following a spinal injury.

Responsibilities
  • Personal care, mobility & hoisting

  • Catheter & bowel care

  • Medication & health monitoring

  • Emotional support & companionship

  • Support with hobbies & social activities

You’ll Need
  • Experience in complex care (spinal injury/hoisting/catheter care) desirable

  • Active, reliable & empathetic personality
