Job summary

This is a live-in role as a Male Support Worker for a vibrant young adult with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and learning disabilities. You will be providing comprehensive support to help the client enjoy a fulfilling, independent life with laughter, fun, and memorable experiences.

Main duties of the job

As a Male Live-In Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and daily assistance, encouraging social interaction and community activities, joining in with trips and hobbies, promoting independence and wellbeing, and maintaining a consistent, positive presence throughout the week. You will need experience supporting individuals with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and learning disabilities, as well as a full UK driving license for transportation needs.

A Bit About Your Client: He’s energetic, sociable, and always up for an adventure. Expect a mix of fun and meaningful moments — from relaxing with YouTube to days out at theme parks.

He enjoys: Watching YouTube & gaming Visiting theme parks (rollercoasters included!) Car journeys & day trips Shopping – especially for cheese!

(There’s also a friendly cat in the property, so you’ll need to be comfortable with pets.)

Your Role:

  • Support with personal care and daily routines

  • Encourage social interaction and community activities

  • Join in with trips, hobbies, and outings

  • Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing

  • Provide a consistent, positive presence throughout the week

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting people with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, PEG feeding, and learning disabilities (e.g. global developmental delay)

  • A Full UK Driving Licence – essential for trips and activities

  • A positive, caring, and proactive attitude
