Main duties of the job

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you'll be responsible for supporting the client with daily routines, personal hygiene, mobility, medication administration, and emotional support. You'll collaborate with healthcare professionals and the client's family to ensure a comprehensive and personalized care plan. The role requires a compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in, Oxford.

Pay: £16.45 per hour weekdays, £17.48 per hour Saturdays, £18.51 per hour Sundays.

Hours: Up to 40 per week (08:00 – 20:00)

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a gentleman in his 40s who has complex needs due to a brain injury, including mobility issues, loss of vision on the right side and PEG feeding. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

He lives in an adapted property with his family, he loves to spend time with them and is also a football fan. Your role will be to support him physically and emotionally, helping him live life to the fullest.

What We’re Looking For

Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a female support worker with:

  • A genuine passion for care and making a difference
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Reliable, committed, and flexible approach
  • Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support with daily routines and use of hoists
  • Assist with personal hygiene and mobility
  • Administer medication and monitor health
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Maintain accurate care records
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members
