Job summary

As a Senior Care Coordinator, you will lead a team of Care Coordinators to deliver exceptional service, overseeing rota efficiency, workforce deployment, and compliance processes. You will also collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth service delivery and champion best practices in care coordination.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Care Coordinator role is focused on operational excellence, team development, and financial oversight as well as supporting the management of care packages. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years' experience in care coordination or operational roles in the health/social care sector, strong leadership and coaching skills, and proven ability to manage finance-related tasks. They will also possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, and be proficient in using care management systems and Microsoft Office.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Care Coordinators to deliver exceptional service.

  • Resolve payroll, billing, and timesheet queries with a focus on accuracy and improvement.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, HR, and Operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Champion best practices in care coordination, documentation, and system use.
 What You’ll Bring
  • At least 4 years’ experience in care coordination or operational roles in health/social care.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage finance-related tasks (payroll, billing, rota validation).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Confidence using care management systems (e.g., One Touch) and Microsoft Office.
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport.
 Desirable
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 or higher in Health & Social Care, Management, or related field.
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and complex care delivery.
