Job summary

Main duties of the job

As a Children and Young Person Support Worker, you will be responsible for assuring the safeguarding of all young people, listening to them, and encouraging their participation in group activities. You will enhance the ability to build positive relationships with the young people in our care, write clear and detailed follow-up reports, and accommodate their needs to support their emotional and physical wellbeing. The role requires previous experience working with young people, a passion for supporting their development, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality care standards.

We are looking for someone who is a passionate, eager, and skilled support worker to join our strong team. 

You must be able to provide first class care for children and young people that also promotes our high care standards and core beliefs. Taking on a role as a support worker and displaying responsibility for young people. You will present positive and encourage role modelling, allowing them to strengthen their trust and build strong relationships.  As a support worker, you will follow a specific Behaviour Management Plan and Care Plan to safeguard our young people. You will help to inspire and encourage them in behaving in a respectful, and appropriate manner. Previous experience working with young people is desirable.

Support Worker Responsibilities - 

  • Assure all young people are safeguarded.
  • All young people are listened to.
  • Encourage and motivate young people to participate in group activities.
  • Enhancing the ability to build positive relationships with young people we care for.
  • Write clear and detailed follow up reports.
  • Accommodate to the young person's needs, self-reliance and living to look after their emotional and physical wellbeing.
