Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to join our team in Hastings, East Sussex. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to a young individual who sustained a brain injury during birth due to not getting enough oxygen to their brain. They have some physical impairments and autistic tendencies, resulting in a very structured day plan.

Main duties of the job

The Complex Care Support Worker will be responsible for delivering personalized care and support to the client, assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires previous experience in complex care, relevant qualifications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to join our team in Hastings, East Sussex. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to young individual who sustained a brain injury during birth due to not getting enough oxygen to his brain. They have some physical impairments and autistic tendencies resulting in a very structured day plan. 

  They like to be out in the community with others and being active - so it is essential that you drive for this role. 

Working Hours:

Wednesday: 14:30 – 21:00

Thursday: 09:00 – 17:00

Every other Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering personalized care and support to clients with complex health conditions.
  • Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work the specified hours.
