Job summary
We are in an exciting phase of growth and are pleased to offer a new post for a Band 7 Clinical Lead Audiologist who will be responsible for leading the Audiology service at Express Diagnostics. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician looking to develop their career within a clinical leadership and managerial role.
This role includes strategic oversight of the audiology department, clinical leadership, and active involvement in the preparation and maintenance of accreditation standards under the Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS) framework with UKAS.
The post holder will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to service development and continuous improvement. A high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential, alongside appropriate professional qualifications and registration with HCPC and/or AHCS.

Main duties of the job
1. Active involvement in the preparation and maintenance of accreditation standards under the Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS) framework with UKAS
2. Line management, peer review and professional development of audiology department staff
3. Updating and developing policies and SOPs in line with national guidance
4. Developing and implementing a clinical audit schedule
5. Working with the Senior Leadership Team to identify and develop commercial relationships and service development opportunities
6. Performance of Pure
Tone Audiometry.
7. Performance of Bone
Conduction Audiometry.
8. Performance of
Tympanometry and Acoustic Reflex.
9. Undertaking ear mould
impressions.
10. Undertaking hearing aid
and mould fittings.
11. Ensuring a high
standard of patient/client care including the cleanliness and stocking of
clinical areas
12. Use of the patient
management system
13. Maintain and update
professional knowledge including new procedures and techniques
14. Audiology stock
ordering ensuring correct levels are maintained and stock inventory correct.
