Job summary

To work alongside the Managing Director to monitor and manage both clinical and non-clinical operations across Express Diagnostics. They will steer organisational outcomes towards meeting contractual obligations and provide senior leadership to the management team of clinical services, remote ECG services, and direct to patient services. They will have a natural drive to promote, develop and improve operational services with a willingness to assume responsibility and accountability for meeting operational company objectives.

Main duties of the job

The role requires excellent understanding of all areas of operations at Express Diagnostics. The individual will have highly developed communication skills in order to be able to lead various teams to achieve business goals. They will have the ability to manage staff across clinical and non-clinical functions. The post holder will be committed, conscientious and motivated at all times and be able to liaise/communicate effectively with personnel at all levels and work within the Companys rigorous quality procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as an effective member of the senior management team.

Job responsibilities

JOB DUTIES:

1. Work alongside both the Managing Director and Commercial Director to aid and implement delivery of strategic, operational, and developmental plans and objectives

2. Steer organisational outcomes towards meeting contractual obligations, financial targets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

3. To oversee the cost-efficient, effective, and timely delivery of Express Diagnostics portfolio of NHS contracts and private services from a non-clinical perspective alongside the finance team.

4. Report to the Managing Director on overall service performance and delivery, and to drive through company aims and values within a multi-disciplinary environment

5. To manage clinical workforce planning to optimise use of clinical facilities, practitioner time, demographic/ geographic requirements, and to satisfy contractual obligations with regards to timely and appropriate health service delivery

6. Work alongside the Manging Director and Commercial Director to identify new opportunities and to facilitate communications with relevant contracting authorities, CCGs, GP groups, Patient Groups, and NHS bodies

7. Work with the Shared Services Manager and administrative team and selected agencies, to ensure uninterrupted and efficient running of clinics during periods of clinician holidays, training absences or sickness

8. Collaborate with the Quality Manager and co-ordinate the enactment, review and improvements of risk management strategies, policy implementation, workplace procedures, information governance, and clinical governance plans to ensure meeting appropriate and internal and external audit guidelines and required legislative standards

9. To be present at existing clinical facilities and to visit any new facilities and infrastructures to ensure each workplace environment is safe and meets organisational, risk minimisation, CQC audit, and professional standards

10. To act as an effective team player within the Senior Management Team, assuming additional ad-hoc roles and responsibilities in times of high demand, or as support to fellow managers

11. Alongside the Quality Manager sensitively and fairly deal with service-user and stakeholders complaints, and the constructive use of feedback derived via this route, instigated patient questionnaires, helping to continually drive improvements across all services
